Everyone needs community. Community is Sharing, Participation, and Transparent Relationships. The goal of Christian
community is Transformation toward Christlikeness. To that end, we want to be a part of God's work in making us a
church where every Christian is a minister and where no one stands alone.
A Home Group is a community of 10 to 14 people, where group members encourage one another in the journey of becoming
mature followers of Christ through transparent relationships, prayer and study of God's word. When the group reaches a
consistent attendance above 14, it will work toward birthing a new group.
The Essential Qualities of every Home Group are:
- Cultivate authentic Christian community
- Extend pastoral care to its members
- Reach out through evangelistic relationships
- Intentionally grow and multiply disciples, leaders and groups.
Priorities of Home Groups
- Develop community and caring amongst adults
- In the context of community, disciple adults to become disciples of Christ, ultimately
disciple-makers for Christ, and some to Home Group leadership.
- Involve the whole family (children too) in community in regular fellowship events.
